3 1/2... well I was vested stars!

Okay... I really don't know how to rate this book. I was vested for sure, but this isn't my kind of read. I probably shouldn't have read it but, I did. Sometimes you gotta stretch yourself, and I needed a taboo book for a challenge. I actually did like both Tomas and Layla even though they were both messed up. All I can say is head the warning. So I read the blurb and I say to myself, "Self, not another student teacher forbidden love story." And then I read the reviews and say, to myself, "Self, maybe it's not just another student teacher forbidden love story." So I buy it. And I start reading it. AND I CAN'T PUT IT DOWN.

The Unrequited is easily in my top five this year (and I read A LOT). I love Layla and you will too. It's a beautiful story with beautiful characters and will provoke so many beautiful emotions.
