ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.
I’m really backed up on some of my ARC’s, so my apologies for not getting through these sooner. This story is a 5 plus level for spice, with a heartbreaking message at its core. I really enjoyed getting to know all the characters and while the situations they found themselves in snowed in a cabin in the woods weren’t at all wholesome or what I would consider romance, it worked for the story and I enjoyed reading it. This was a really good book that I didn't think I would like because of the length, I loved it this book it kept me wanting more. Tiernan de Haas is home from school when she wakes up to find that both of her parents are dead they committed suicide. Tiernan is hurt that they left her she has never had a loving normal relationship with her parents. When her father's step brother calls her and tells her that he has guardianship of her until she turns 18 in 2 months she sees it has her chance to ge

Oh, my heart ❤❤❤
This was my first Penelope Douglas book, and it definitely won't be my last. I've been looking for new things to read, and after so many people recommended Credence, I decided to check it out.
Y'all... I couldn't put this book down! I literally pulled an all-nighter because I was so engrossed in the story that there was no way I'd step away for sleep. So much taboo, so much chemistry, so many feels that I thought my chest might burst. And always wondering what direction these rela ...more

Incredible read! I was hooked from the very beginning. This was definitely one twisted story but at the same time the author managed to make it very emotional too. I’m so glad I read it!!

So many people raved about this book on blogs I follow so I had to check it out but I couldn't do it...I couldn't finish it. Unlike many other books I DNF I actually liked the heroine: she's complex and has some issues I can relate to. It's all of the guys in the book and the setting in general I'm just not down with. If Harvey Weinstein was mayor of a town and setting an example for all the people to follow, it would be the mountain town in this book. Normally this kind of stuff doesn't bug me

This book was just okay for me, a solid 3 star book mostly. Don't get me wrong, parts of the story were very emotional and the sex was quite intense. However, the heroine was a bit wishy-washy but then she was just barely of age, turning 18yo during her time in Colorado with Jake, Noah and Kaleb. The book did have a HEA and it wrapped up the story well enough so I rounded up to 3.5. ...more

This is my first read by this author and DAMN GIRL! I dont want to give anything away so I wont write that kind of review but suffice to say that Penelope Douglas has a way of pulling you in and literally gripping you by the throat and not letting go. I will definitely be reading as much by this new to me author as I can.

This was my first taboo romance and it was a wild ride. The first half was better to me than the second half because it became surprisingly lovey dovey.
