This ended up being quite different than I thought it would be but still very enjoyable. I truly anticipated an Ash just so stubborn and gruff and in character but instead got an Ash that I guess only Cael gets to see normally. And Cael's past? Very painful and not at all what I was expecting. At first it all seemed a little odd but once I wrapped my head around it I just went with the flow.

Five books in and I’m still just as obsessed with this series as I have been since book one. Finally after four books of witnessing Ash Keeler and Cael Maddock pine after each other, we get their story.
As I mentioned in my review of Rise & Fall, I was starting to get a bit tired of all the books being in Dex & Sloane’s perspectives. OMG that was amazingly awesome. This series just gets better with each book. I'm so glad that Ash finally gave in to his feelings. God his dad was such an ass & it's about time his mom grew a set. Love that Cael got his own back when it came to Fuller. (view spoiler)

Ash!!
This installment is Ash and Cael’s story. Both a member of Destructive Delta, these two have had it bad for one another. Ash, a Lion Therian, has a hard time following his feelings for Cael, who’s a Cheetah Therian and Dex’s adoptive brother. Ash is prob the most badass of the team who has a harsh attitude and some self-loathing secrets that have definitely done a number on him. If anyone can help him, its Cael. Loved his story.
