Skye Warren's writing style holds you fast!

I really enjoyed Overture (North Security,#1). It was essentially a slow burn with tease dreams, fantasies and very erotic scenes due to H/h taboo relationship. Hero was heroine's guardian and growly business owner, Liam North and the ward was an almost 18 year old child prodigy Samantha (played the violin) and they both wanted each other. With the reviews being all four or five stars -- less than a handful of negative remarks (and most of these were concerns over not being informed upfront that this book was part of a new series) -- loving the cover and the book blurb intrigue had me dropping my fear of being put-off by usual triggers. Taboo or forbidden romances where age is an issue (more than 5 years or so) -- especially when one party is underage and I would toss it aside. This was a good story but it was a bit to slow moving for me, it didn’t hold my interest. I’m not a fan of cliffhangers either.
