This series is really just a good time. Eden Finley takes a trope that can at times be brutal and just does it right all the way through the story. There are all the emotions you would expect to have with this type of story but never too much or anything crazy over the top. I always have a great time reading anything in this series and this one fit right in.

“A hockey player and a sports journalist walk into a bar… Nope, doesn’t sound right.”

Soooo, nothing shocking but I went back and read the third one too. I just couldn't resist. Well I’m glad I did. Eden Finley is slowly becoming my one of my favourite M/M writers.

The thing I loved the most about this story was Ollie's family. I love that he had a loving family who accepted him for who he is when there are so many people in similar situations that don't have even an eighth of that level of acceptance.
Yes, they were a bit misguided when it came to him coming out to the world in the field that he works in, but they always had his best interest and happiness at heart.
