4 3/4 "My joy, my heart, my home." Stars!

LONG LIVE THE QUEEN! I adored this story. It never occurred to me while reading the other books in this series that Queen Lenora should have her story told. I am so happy it did occur to Emma Chase.

This story was so good. It was funny, swooney, sexy, and even a little sad. Lenora was a bad a**! I loved her. And Edward was all the things a powerful woman (and all women are powerful btw) needs. He was a perfect prince.

Thoughts
- set in the 1950’s in Wessco. It’s the Queen’s love story, so the timing is actually before the other books in the series.

I love this book. Every single line, every thought, every scene, all of it is exceptional. The characters are perfect, the storyline exceptional. I was filled with so much emotion and joy while reading Royally Yours. I could not put it down, the story so magical, poignant, inspiring. Ms. Chase created a superb foundation for the other books in this series. In fact all I can think about is re-reading those books. This was my favorite book of the series. I didn’t know I needed to read Queen Lenora’s story, but I’m glad that Emma Chase knew that I did! This was wonderful. I loved seeing Lenora’s childhood through to her marriage and babies, even though there were some extremely sad and emotional moments. And I loved how Edward really cared for her and saw through her “Queen” persona to the real her. What a fun read and it made me want to go back and read the first book in the series all over again.

Eu gostei bastante de ler de onde veio a razão do pulso de ferro da rainha, de como as tradições e o que é espectável de uma governadora de um reino, a moldaram. Mas foi o amor e saber que encontrou a sua alma gémea que fizeram renascer uma nova Lenora, ou simplesmente Lenny. Edward também foi um óptimo companheiro, que apesar de alma irrequieta, conseguiu encontrar finalmente o seu porto de abrigo.
Sinceramente achei a história bem conjugada entre a infância até à fase adulta, com os intervenientes certos, só ficou mesmo a faltar mais páginas do crescimento amor entre o Edward e a Lenora. De resto foi muito simples na mensagem que quis deixar: contos de fadas existem.

Sobre esta série, tenho só a dizer que a histórias dos netos (livro 1 e 2) foram as mais chatinhas, mas o 3º e este, como as novellas, foram muito bem conseguidas.
Um belo final da saga da família Pembrook.
