I was so excited that two of my favorite authors were teaming up to write a series and I've been waiting patiently for Folsom ever since they announced its release! Folsom was very different than anything I've ever read. I love going a little out of my comfort zone and I'm glad I did! Folsom had me captivated from page one and I was transported to a different world.

Folsom is one of the twelve last men. Folsom was very different than anything I've ever read. I love going a little out of my comfort zone and I'm glad I did! Folsom had me captivated from page one and I was transported to a different world.

Folsom is one of the twelve last men. In a world of women, its up to the last twelve men to impregnate and produce males so the human species doesn't die. The top laboratories have tried in-vetro fertilization but it doesn't take as well as good ole fashion sex. Folsom has produced hundreds of off spring and had sex with thousands of women. Never did he ever feel anything for these women, he had a job to do and he did it well. The women just looked at him as a way to get pregnant. That was it, nothing more nothing less. Until Gwen.

Gwen is the daughter of one of the top women in the Red District. Her and her sister have arranged meetings with Folsom to have sex in the hopes of getting pregnant and producing a male. When Gwen first meets Folsom she doesn't see him like the other women do. She really sees him and the two share something unexpected.

When Gwen becomes pregnant with a male, she soon discovers the just how the men of the district will be treated. Where most would love the attention this would bring Gwen just wants to live a normal life. She sees how the government are towards men and unexpectedly starts a rebellion.
I was on the edge of my seat while reading wondering what was going to happen to Gwen and Folsom! The suspense factor was off the charts and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book! In an age where women rule and men are used as a sex slaves to produce male offspring, I loved seeing the relationship between Gwen and Folsom bloom. Love is not something that happens between a man and a man and in this date and age and not something either had experienced before. I am curious to see how the story continues! Any fan of romance novels would love Folsom. Just bring your imagination and get sucked into a different world! I know I sure did! ...more

Wow! So good and what an ending! I've read several books by Tarryn Fisher but nothing by Willow Aster until now. My next read will definitely be a Willow Aster book.
