Sophie Darling boards a plane headed to a job interview and is deliriously happy to find she's been upgraded to first class. Just as she settles into her new seat, she hears a stuffy, arrogant, controlled voice demanding to know why someone is sitting in his seat . . . seems this obviously wealthy man purchased two seats to ensure no one would bother him. Control Freak - Meet the woman who refuses to be "managed"! And so begins the hilarious banter between Sophia Darling and Gabriel Scott aka "Scottie" - manager of the biggest rock band in the world. Sophie just can't help herself - she decides to push all Scottie's buttons, prodding at him just to get a rise (she may have even mentioned some sexual act - just sayin'), and the one-liners flying between them begins. She calls him "Sunshine" (sarcasm), and he calls her "Chatty Girl". Their interaction on the plane is priceless, but an undercurrent is brewing. And by the end of their seven hour flight - they discover a connection - seems they're going to the same place and will be seeing more of each other and . . . surprise, surprise - they both want to see more of each other. The chemistry is already sizzling.

As this story plays out, prepare to laugh out loud as quirky, smart, warm, funny Sophie worms her way past the cold, arrogant, controlled shell that Gabriel presents the world. He doesn't do relationships (even though he is a walking, talking sex dream) - he manages and controls people in every aspect of his life. When he walks into a room, people part (or run) to let him pass. He chews people up and spits them out. So what is he supposed to do with this loud, sexy siren who dares challenge him? Who refuses to run when he says "Boo"? Who calls to him on every level? Who makes him want & need?

Managed is a great addition to the VIP series. I was intrigued by Scottie in Idol, book 1, and wanted to know more about him. I'm happy to say he lives up to the hype - both as "Scottie" and as Gabriel/Sunshine! I loved watching his walls crumble, brought down by a lush Marilyn Monroe look alike who refuses to shut the h*ll up! This is a hilarious, yet heart-touching book about trust, acceptance, and love. I read Managed in one sitting. It's that good and entertaining. Another Must Read from this author.

Gabriel (29) & Sophie (25). Book 2 of a series. Standalone, but has recurring characters from Book 1. Dual POV. Slow burn. It has a HEA and an epilogue.

You should read book 1 first as it gives the background of the band and the dynamics between the characters are established in that book.

I did not think it would be possible to love a book as much as I loved this one. From the moment I was introduced to Scottie and Sophie, I fell in love. Their banter was so entertaining. Sophie was one that was not afraid to say what she was thinking and just loved getting a rise out of Scottie. Scottie was dangerous. He was sexy, broody even with his British accent. He was so refined, serious, never one to play. Being stuck next to Sophie on his flight turned out to be the best thing that ever happened. Seriously, I could not get enough of the interactions between the two of them. I just wanted to keep reading, so I could keep seeing them together. Then you add their amazing chemistry and slow burn of their relationship, and I gotta tell you, I was just hooked. The push and pull between these two was off the charts. Sophie brought out a part of Scottie that I don’t think even he knew existed. She made him want to live and experience life. She reminded him of what it was like to have fun and brought so much light into his life. Not to mention, she brought out this total alpha side in him that was hotter than ever!! Seriously though, the emotions and feelings between these two were just so palpable and so deep. I. Could. Not. Get. Enough.

Managed was so much more than I ever expected. This is the kind of romance that I just live for. The romance between Scottie and Sophie was slow building, but oh so swoon worthy. It was so real and so worth the wait. I just loved it.

What else can I tell you about Managed? Well, the writing is just incredible. It is entertaining. It is captivating. And is down right swoon worthy. This story has the perfect balance of angst, drama and romance. This story is going to make you laugh out loud, it is going to frustrate the hell out of you, but most importantly, you are going to fall in love. This is one of those stories that I wish would never end and one that I could definitely see myself re-reading many times.

I hope that you will take a chance on Managed and fall in love with the characters and the story just as I have.

5 MIRIFIC-ALLY MANAGED STARS!

It seems such a long time that a male/female contemporary romance series has grabbed me from the getgo and not released me but left me gagging for more!

This series has done this and I have loved every minute of it mostly (that was for you Stacie)!
Can't wait for the next one.

Scottie boy, what can I say I'm in love!

From the very first page I was so invested in this story. Managed was one of my favorites by Kristen Callihan, but I have to say Managed took its place! Sophie and Gabriel's sexual tension was off the walls. Holy hell I am in need of a fan!

Gabriel is one of the quite types. Likes to be by himself and doesn't let people in behind his walls. But when Sophie comes into his life, she see's the real him. Behind the façade and shows Gabriel just what it's like ...more

Kristen Callihan is everything that is right in the romance world today and this book is an example of that. While I haven't read every book she has written, each one I have read has quickly become a favorite of mine. And this book in this series is no different... and definitely a top fave of mine along with book one Idol.
