Just "darling" -- I loved both Gabriel and Sophie. Two great characters. Opposites attract on a plane with such adorable wit and sass. Not a dull moment. The bandmates from Kill John are back in full force. They give "Scottie" his due. So many memorable moments in this one to enjoy. I may have fallen a bit harder for Gabriel than I did the "Idol." All in all a journey by road and by air. Definitely a terrific follow-up to the first VIP book. Can't wait to see what Kristen Callihan does with Jax ...more

I think I actually loved this one more than the first book! I laughed at Sophie' s teasing, etc several times. I loved the writing- like how much Sophie had affected Gabriel. When they finally gave into it- hotness!! Of course I was imagining the glorious David Gandy every time Gabriel's looks were described. I am very glad that we got to know about his past. Gah I wanted to hug him... until I wanted to smack him upside the head. *sigh* The ending was fabulous. Now I just want more because I lik ...more

Under normal circumstances, this would be a 5-star read. I liked it much better than Idol (even though I was a big fan of that book, as well as the whole Game On series, which is the pinnacle of sports romance/new adult for me). The reason I say under normal circumstances is that I have had a string of 5-star reads lately - as it's been an exceptional year for romance - and this one is just a smidgen under those.
