Moonshot is an amazing Romantic Thriller, it has sports, love, murder and mystery. This book was intense, thrilling and left me on the edge of my seat. The book is broken down into two parts, early life and then later life when things get down right intense. The author keeps it fast paced and your are interested from page one. Another fantastic read from Alessandra Torre.

Growing up with baseball in your blood was nothing new to Ty Rollins. With a father that pitched for the Yankees, Ty grew up surrounded by the players in the heart of the action. Both of them should have stayed away from the other. Ty and Chase could not escape the pull of their love for the game. An attraction that went further than the uniform, the field, or the stadium lights. Fate placed them along the same path. What they didn’t know was how far off course their future would curve.

Unparalleled …. It’s the first thought that comes to me when I read Moonshot!! Everything about this book appealed to me. From the forbidden romance of Ty and Chase, to the mystery that lurks within the pages. Each and every word that flowed from the chapters pulled me into this tale of baseball, suspense, and epic love. It is a romance that is not to be forgotten. A romance that one can only hope of finding in a lifetime.

I have a soft spot for this romance for many reasons. Growing up….I was the gal that was a part of a minor league team. From hanging out in the dugout, to running errands for the players, to dinner after the game. Every home run, every strike, each yell of the umpire shaped the days of my summers. When Alessandra announced she was creating her latest ‘home run’ about the game of baseball….I knew I had to read it. Never in a million years would I have imagined how dead on so many things in this story would be in regards to the behind the scenes of the game!!

Romance is not the only thing lurking throughout Moonshot’s pages…..there is an element of suspense that will keep you guessing right up until the very last moment. While Torre is known for her unforgettable romance elements, nothing could prepare fans for the epic ‘home run’ hidden within the pages of this novel. Typically - I figure out the surprise elements in a story early on. With Moonshot - I was guessing right along with each turn of the page. The revelation will upend readers….proving how far Alessandra Torre’s writing has gone since publishing her first book. Trust me - I was guessing right until the last moment!

Moonshot is one of those books that you can’t put down!! It’s the home run of romance….the best novel I have read this year!! Trust this second chance romance to knock it out of the park. Discover the love of the game….believe in fate…..crack the bat….and enjoy it all over again!! ...more

Let me see how many baseball analogies I can use to describe how much I loved this book! Alessandra Torre hit a home run, grand slam, pitched a perfect game, and hit for the cycle, with her latest release Moonshot. (I think I got them all) I seriously loved this one!! Suspense: check. Nail biting: check. Angsty love story: check. Then throw in a baseball story and you have me hook line and sinker!! I am already sold with a good angsty love story but baseball in my favorite sport and so when you Let me see how many baseball analogies I can use to describe how much I loved this book! Ty is the seventeen year old daughter of a star relief pitches for the New York Yankees. She grew up with the team and is at every game whether it be a home or away. Baseball is in her blood and she more knows about the game than most adult men. She is spunky and feisty and has no problem hanging in the clubhouse with the players.

Until Chase Storm is traded to the Yankees. A young baseball phenom he is no stranger to scandal. He knows he’s good at what he does and it has most women fall at his feet, but not Ty. She knows his game and even though only a couple of years separate them she knows she needs to keep her distance form him. He’s charming, good looking, and god’s gift to baseball and she knows not to get mixed up with someone from the team.

Until one night at a hotel room where they both decide to open up to each other. They both start falling for the other but wait until her eightieth birthday before they discuss taking things further. But a misunderstanding will lead to end of their relationship before it even gets started. Chase is traded and years go by before they ever see each other again when he is traded back to the Yankees.

They are now both now in the mid to late twenties and I am like hell yes, now it’s their time! But decisions have been made and sometimes young love doesn’t last or meant to be. Then to make things interesting, young girls have been dying over the last couple of years when the Yankees fail to win the championship, with all of them having an eerie similarity to Ty. What is happening to these girls is a a mystery. Ty hopes having Chase back will bring them the championship and the killing will stop. Que the nail biting! I did not anticipate how suspenseful it would be and just loved it!! Did Ty and Chase miss out on their time or will they get a second shot and how are these murders all tied in? You will need to read Moonshot to find out!!
