This was not the simple, happy go lucky, happily ever after, kind of sequel. It was a much more emotional and some what frustrating and closer to reality, kind of what happened next to this couple I adore. I always struggle when so many problems would basically disappear with a simple conversation, and yet they are drawn out in a book causing unnecessary angst. In this couples case, I felt that it was understandable when their own fears kept them from talking about what they were feelin ...more

We pick up where book one leaves off. I most definitely urge you to read Him first!
Jamie and Wes are now living together and happy as can be! Right? Right?
This books delves into their lives, in the closet. Their struggles at staying there.. for now at least. And their bond. Their friendship. Their love!
I absolutely loved book one and honestly could have left it at that!
Eek, I know, shame on me, but I'm weird like that.
I was happy with knowing they were together and happy.
But... here comes along ...more

Jamie and Wes
Read 2016: Wes is tearing up the ice in his rookie season playing for Toronto. Things are a bit tougher for Jamie until he starts coaching older kids with lots of potential and major skills. Their relationship becomes strained with Wes constantly on the road and Jamie alone in Toronto not knowing a soul. When things go from bad to worse, it brings out the best in Wes as he comes to Jamie’s rescue. This couple just knocks the wind out of my sails!! Reread several times already.

3.5 stars This sequel doesn't have quite the magic of the first one, but I still enjoyed catching up with the guys. The book brought up some interesting issues for Jamie and Wes, but they weren't fully addressed. Everything was solved too easily and too neatly, especially the situation with Jamie. (view spoiler)
Blake was hilarious, and I loved the reactions of the rest of Wes' teammates. ...more
