More Christian Grey?? Sure! Some parts were a repeat and I skimmed over some scenes but overall it was refreshing to get Christian's take on Anastasia and their relationship.

3.5 stars.
You know what? Not too shabby!
Sure you have to go into reading this one accepting of the fact that certain things will make your eyes roll. Things like Christian's repetitive use of 'Get a grip, Grey' when chastising himself. I was also alittle miffed at his reference to 'making this deal' when referring to getting Ana to give him a chance.
But still, I went into reading this knowing there would be parts that I might find cheesy, like in the first book - Ana's bazillion "Oh my"s, so I ...more

DNF. I just can't believe the same person wrote this that wrote the original 3...I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in a book. I wish I could return it and get my money back it was that bad. Christian's inner monologue was just nauseating. I just can't. Ugh!!

There aren't too many original thoughts on this story left to disclose, but I'll offer my opinion and reaction to "Grey".
It was good, as expected, well written, intriguing, as before. E.L. James gives the reader Christian's thoughts.. and some insight into his thinking process, more exposure to his early childhood anguish and traumas and a considerably more access to his interactions with his staff. So ok, all that was interesting. His relationship with Ana, always the magnetic and powerful sto ...more

Oh, my, how I've wanted this book.
And despite all the negativity I've seen directed at the book, it was everything I'd hoped it would be.
I loved it! Every bit of it.
I loved how Ms. James threw us curve balls, making us see things he did in a different light. Like with the Tess books. We all assumed he did something sweet and bought them for her. However, it was a little bit different from that. While still thoughtful, it wasn't as much so as I thought when reading FSOG. But I liked that. We cou ...more

4.5 I still love this love story! stars.
I love this story and these characters. They hooked me early on when I read FSoG the first time. Grey was no different. I liked reading the story from Christian's POV. Like the original book, there was a bit of repetition in the inner dialog, but I still enjoyed this book. Considering the additional scenes and insight into CG's tormented mind and dark past, I found that it was worth the read so I rounded my rating up.

So tons of people are bashing this book and I loved it. We all wanted his POV but then you hate it. SMH anyways yes the first 15 was tough to read and made me want to stop. I thought to myself; I wanted this and so I kept on and thank god I did. After 15% it became wonderful. Then at 57% it became a book I was loving. I ended up loving this book. Makes me want to read darker now.
