I didn't even realize this book was in the works until it was due to be released, and I have to admit I am one of those people who read the original Fifty Shades series over and over again, I guess you can say I am very familiar with Ms. James' work. I did stay away from chat threads regarding this book because I knew it was going to cause a lot of opinions being shared and I didn't want to be influenced.

I fell asleep 3 times...smh

I wasn't a big fan of the trilogy when I read it in 2012. But this book was much more enjoyable for me. It helped me to understand the original series better. Reading Christian's pov was enlightening.

Absolutely loved Christian's POV as we get a glimpse into his mind and emotions. I have to say I enjoyed this more than the other books, more than Ana's POV, for various reasons. Despite this being re-telling I never once felt bored as it was all from a different POV and it showed Christian in a very different light. I can't help but think that if people who hate The Fifty Shades trilogy read this would they have the same opinion of Christian? He comes across as someone very different from how h

I couldn't not read it. Nice to revisit but I am not a great fan of retellings.

This is a retelling of the first book of the Fifty Shades of Grey Series told from Christian’s point of view. If you are a fan of the series, as I admittedly am, I suppose this one is also a must read. It's not bad. I did enjoy reading it. I gave it only 3 stars because I felt it was a little unnecessary outside of it the money making gimmick that goes along with this trend of rewriting the same book from an alternative point of view. In the case of "Grey", there is really nothing in this book t

This book was HIGHlarious. I seriously laughed so much. I should probably give it more stars because it was hilarious but that wasn't what Ms. James was trying to sell me.

Loved this series. Was so happy to find out that there was a new book coming out from Christian's POV. This was awesome! It was great to see what he was actually feeling and more of what happened when he was a child and during the time she was gone. I just wished that the next book was out so that I could go right into listening it. I hope that we do not have to wait too long for the next book as the plot is already known.

Wonderful insight of Christian's mind and thoughts. Thank you E.L. James for providing this extra layer of understanding of the relationship between Ana & Christian and how it evolved.
