I wish I could give this more than 5 stars, in my opinion The Will is one of KA's finest works to date. Anyone can be an author but not many can weave magic like a storyteller can, and KA does that so well. And she excelled with this story.

A fair number of readers have taken a pop at Josie's speech - is it such a crime to have full command of the English language and use it? I don't think so. Her speech did not bother me at all, in fact in endeared her to me. She used this as part of her armour ...more

I don't know if I can put into words what I felt for this book and it do it justice but I'm going to try....

I love KA! She is my ALL TIME FAVORITE AUTHOR EVER! She can write romance and the alpha male like no other so when I read about this book, I immediately got excited. This book reminded me a lot of the Dream Man series and the Colorado Mountain series so if you are a fan of her books and those series, this is for you!

In this book, it takes place in a small town, called Magdeline, where everybody knows everybody, a classic thing that KA is known for. This is the first book in the series and I'm excited to see who will get the next book :)

Now let's get down to a brief overview and my thoughts!

This story is about Jake and Josephine. Josephine's grandmother dies and she comes to town to take care of her funeral and the reading of the will (hint hint the name of the book). Josephine' s grandmother was well loved and liked in this town so it's no surprise we meet a lot of the characters in the beginning of the book.

During the funeral, Josephine sees Jake and his three children but doesn't know who he is and the connection to his grandmother. Following this brief meeting, Josephine goes to the reading of the will and in comes Jake. Her will was written differently. She left Josephine to Jake, yes you read that right... she left her granddaughter who is a 45 year old woman to a man she had never met. It is not understood why but Jake knows. This is the big mystery of the book and all will be revealed.

In the beginning, Josephine decided to stay in town to sort out the house and such. She does not like Jake upon meeting him though she feels a pull to him like no other but she thinks she is in love with another man, her boss Henry. As Jake and she get to know each other and spend time together, they build a friendship and deep connection. As they forge on and Josephine grows close to Jake and his family, they start to fall in love with each other. This is such a beautiful classic love story that has just enough steam to make your kindle sizzle.

I loved Jake. He is the ultimate alpha- strong, dark, controlling, possessive, mysterious, and sexy. As much as he tries to fight his feelings for Josephine, he can't. He has been in love with her for a long time without even meeting her and didn't even realize it. He pushes her away in the beginning but eventually succumbs to it and gives it his all and boy he did not disappoint. Though he comes with baggage (ex wives and a not so great ladies man reputation), and a lot of it, he is totally worth it. Oh, and he was once a professional boxer but now owns a gym and strip club.

Josephine was awesome. I loved the way she talked- like she was from another century. She was quirky, fashionable, very forward, precise, articulate, and so loving to get friends and family. She had a terrible childhood so you can imagine she had her own issues. But alas, ane embraced this small town and gave it her all. While she is use to famous people, caviar, and globe trotting (her b job as an assistant to a famous photographer) she decides that this town is what she needs.

I loved Connor, Ethan, and Amber. These are Jake's kids. They are so sweet and you can't help but fall in love with each of them. Josephine was what those kids needed and she pitted it throughout the entire book. I did not like Henry. He was manipulative and dreadful but totally got what he deserved. Alyssa was sweet and funny. She was a good friend and ally for Josephine. I also loved Armon. He was awesome though I thought he was questionable for a while. I secretly hope he gets a book. I loved boy Taylor and girl Taylor. Hilarious! I also liked Mickey. He was a great friend, confidant, and sort system for this pair.

The epilogue was E.P.I.C. No other words to describe it. It was the best one ever to date by KA. You must read this book. It is life changing!

PS- I will never look at Ro-Tel and Velveeta the same again!! ...more
