3.5 stars. I enjoyed this for the most part. I saw all the fantastic reviews and knew I had to have a go at it, not to mention I love KA! I guess I dropped a rating because I think the book could have been condensed, like A LOT, what with all the repetitive language. I also got a little annoyed at all the ‘Thus’, ‘Alas’ and ‘Never-the-less’ es used. But that was all over shadowed by Jake, the alpha-hero the likes you expect from this author. What can I say I love Kristen Ashley. Josie is a super funny female lead and I honestly think she is at the top of my list of female characters that KA has written. Very sweet story. I enjoy following along on Josephine and Jake's journey. I think Jake's kids were amazing. Each one of them and their individual stories were very touching. I love Kristen Ashley and her writing.
