I'd like to first apologize to Harper Sloan for this being my first book of yours. I have many many books to catch up on because after reading Unexpected Fate, I just have to get my hands on all your things!!!

There are books you read that you swoon over, fall in love with. Then, there are books that just slap you upside the head and scream "FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC."

I'd like to first apologize to Harper Sloan for this being my first book of yours. I have many many books to catch up on because after reading Unexpected Fate, I just have to get my hands on all your things!!!

There are books you read that you swoon over, fall in love with. Then, there are books that just slap you upside the head and scream "FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC."
There are so many things that I loved about this book. So many. The storyline, the buildup, the characters. When an author can make you fall in love with the father of the main female character. You know this is something special.

Let's meet Dani. I fucking LOVE Dani!! If I could be any book character, and live her life, it would be Dani-Girl. Perfect childhood, family, friends. And her daddy. Holy hell, her daddy. Axel. C'mon. With a name like that, how can you not fall in love!! Axel is very controlling, possessive, barbaric, protective of his daughter, and wife. His Princess and little princess *swoons*. Dani has lived a very sheltered life which means she never dated. Ever. But that's ok. She's only ever had eyes for Cohen Cage. Her older brother's best friend. Years later, little Dani is all grown up. And Cohen is finally realizing what's right in front of him. Again. Let me just say, another perfect male specimen. I think I have a new BBF. Cohen is the definition of absolute perfection. A gentleman on the outside, but a hot dirty talking sex fucking God in the bedroom. This man almost made me take up smoking again. Thank god for those cigarette emojis that got me through this book!!

Since I don't do spoilers, I will end this by saying that this book was just filled with pure greatness. Lots of laugh out loud moments, great family dynamic that I just loved, all the characters could easily have their own stories. I loved every single one of them. Also a mystery in the story. Filled with all kinds of hot alpha males. A love story. That brought me many sweet tears. And good lord. The hotness in this book. Yeah. Off the charts.

I am so excited for everyone to get their hands on this book. This is Dirty Girl approved, 1-click this now!!!

P.S. I'd like to also comment on a song called Kiss by Kiss by Brett Young. This song was a big part of the book. So I looked it up, and listened to the lyrics. I have never been moved so much by one song from a book. The meaning of this song and the importance of it in the story. Yeah. Well done, Miss Sloan. Well done. I will always think of Cohen and Dani forever when I hear this song now. ...more

10 stars would not be enough for this book and though it could be read as a stand alone it would be so much more enjoyable to read the Corp Security series first. Harper Sloan has given us a gift in the form of this Corp Security Family with characters that we could relate to whether they were her extremely Alpha males or her fierce females that brought these men to their knees. This is still a reflection of that family dynamic it is just twenty years later and now the focus is on the CS kids an 10 stars would not be enough for this book and though it could be read as a stand alone it would be so much more enjoyable to read the Corp Security series first. Harper Sloan has given us a gift in the form of this Corp Security Family with characters that we could relate to whether they were her extremely Alpha males or her fierce females that brought these men to their knees. This is still a reflection of that family dynamic it is just twenty years later and now the focus is on the CS kids and some of their friends. The minute it was announced this book would be about Cohen Cage I didn't know how I would feel about him being an adult - extremely Alpha and obviously hot. In my mind he was still the precocious little kid with his cape flying behind him that stole many moments if not the whole darn book in Harper's previous CS editions. I know now that she is a genius with the way she wrote this book and how she transitioned him from this little kid that we all loved to uber sexy alpha male! The tie ins to the previous CS books are flawless and I had a permanent grin on my face for the first 30% of the book!
The book starts off with Dani about twenty one and still living at home being smothered by her overprotective father, the formidable Axel Reid. Dani is a replica of her mother except where Izzy is curvy, Dani is tiny and she also has Ax's green eyes. Dani is still best friends with Liam Beckett and of course Cohen's twin sisters Lyn and Lila. All of the girls including Maddi Locke and Stella Harrison (who is Sway and his partner's adopted daughter) work at Sway's shop now. The girls are working in all aspects of the business from marketing to make-up with each one of them claiming their own specialty but all working well as a cohesive unit. Sway is as flamboyant as ever and is even in the second season of a reality show with a film crew in the shop recording his shenanigans for all the world to see and he couldn't be happier. Dani is tried of waiting for Cohen to acknowledge her feelings for him so she enlists the help of the girls to seduce him before he has to leave again as part of his job being in the military. Dani's goal is to show Cohen what he has been missing and that they belong together hopefully before he has to leave...
Cohen Cage is so conflicted he has always seen the looks Dani has given him and felt the hugs that lasted just a bit too long but he promised himself that until he was able to claim Dani properly he would keep his distance and be just her friend. At first Dani was way to young for there to be any type of romantic relationship to form but then as she got older it got much harder to tolerate be cause Cohen found her to be the most beautiful girl he has ever laid eyes on. Cohen knew that being in the elite ops like his dad and uncles could take him away from Dani at a moments notice and there was no way he would do that to her so again he thought he was doing what was best. Everyone knows that things can and always do change and sometimes what you think is a bad thing turns out to be the best thing you ever did!!! Can't wait for the rest of the books about the CS kids :)

If I could give this book 10 stars, I totally would. That is how much I loved this book. I have t admit that this author is one of my top five favorites of all time but this book... she completely blew it out of the park. This is a spin off from her Corps Security series following the children of Axel, Locke, Cooper, Cage, and Beck. We get to see them all grown up and the roles reversed. Our alpha men are daddies o amazing kids who now get their chance at falling in love.

This is the long awaited Dani and Cohen's story and the first pair to fall in love. We all know Cohen as Cage and Melissa's son. He is and always will be the "pierced weiner boy." He is also famous for his red cape and cute one liners. Well let me tell you... our boy is ALL GROWN UP. Cohen Cage is a force to be reckoned with. He is sexy, fast, sweet, honest, deep, level headed, hot tempered, totally alpha, and his mouth should be a sin in itself.

And Dani, sweet Dani. Dani is the daughter of Axel and Izzy. I really liked the woman she grew up to be. She always knew Cohen was her one. She never had a doubt in her mind. She has always wanted him and has always loved him. She has watched him go through women and go to war. She has experienced his ups and downs... his highs and his lows. She has never waivered and always stood by him.. But Dani is tired of waiting. She is ready to prove she is a woman now and all grown up. Be damned the age difference, she wants Cohen and she will have him.

Cohen has always wanted Dani but the age difference and him going away to war have put his feelings on hold. But he admires her from far away and knows one day she will be his. But when he decides he can't wait until he is home from deployment, he decides to claim Dani once and for all. But war can change a man and Dani is not the same woman when he returns. Life is going to throw them obstacles that will take patience, time, determination and perseverance to get through

Will their love be strong enough?

These two together were perfect. They had chemistry, history and a connection that is unbreakable. In between the sheets, yowza! These two are dirty, sexy and scorching. I will say that Cohen is probably my top book boyfriend of 2015 by far.

I absolutely cannot wait for the next story in this series. I know it is going to be epic. We get glimpses of maybe some trouble brewing and lusting happening among this group of kids so I am super excited and full of anticipation waiting to see how this all plays out.

I HIGHLY recommend anything by this author!

We first me Cohen Cage in the Security Corps Series (Cage). After reading this book, I don't think that it is absolutely necessary to read that series first, although I have no idea why you wouldn't read it, just for the pure joy it will bring you, but whatever. I will say this, a lot of the characters that we love from that series, will make an appearance (or more) in this book. So, really if you want to get the full on Corps Security experience, you should check out that series first. Trust me We first me Cohen Cage in the Security Corps Series (Cage). I know you must remember cute little Cohen Cage from the Corps Security series, right? Well, cute is out the window. The boy is now a man and he is HAWT! Dani Reid, yes, Axel and Izzy's little girl, has been in love with Cohen since she can remember, and it's now time to make him see what it is he has been missing out on. This book will be told through the POV of both Dani and Cohen.

Cohen has known that Dani (or as he calls her, Dani-girl) has been in love with him since she was 15 years old and in a defining moment for Cohen, she whispered her feelings to him. Over the years, he pulled that memory to help him get through some of his toughest times. The problem however, is Dani is almost 5 years younger than Cohen, so Cohen knew that because of the age difference there wasn't much he could do then. Now, fast forward 6 years, Dani is now 21 and reveals once again to Cohen how she feels. Now in all fairness to Dani, she was extremely ill and drugged up on some high potency cough syrup. But for Cohen, it certainly stirs something in him.

Here is where the problem lies. Cohen has followed in his father's footsteps and is in the military, and is getting ready to deploy once again. Not knowing how long this tour will take him, he doesn't want to start anything up with Dani until he has a stronger and more stable hold on the future. Of course the other problem comes in the form of a very over protective father, who will stop at nothing to protect his only daughter AKA Axel Reid.

Dani will take Cohen however he comes, overseas or not and gets her wish after a particularly emotional going away party. Surely you can figure out now that Dani gets her guy. They make the decision to wait it out and once Cohen returns from overseas, that they will really give a relationship with one another a real shot. It wouldn't be a true Corps Security book of any kind if there wasn't any drama involved, right? Shortly after Cohen deploys, Dani starts to receive flowers every week. Thinking that they are from Cohen, she of course falls in love even more. Once she realizes that Cohen is indeed not the giver, hell will break loose. Dani has crazy after her and Cohen being overseas, can't do a thing about it. While I didn't think that it was too difficult to figure out the culprit, it was certainly a page turner and easy to figure out or not, it was well played.

There is other drama involved, that I can't really say too much about without giving it away, but as I read it and things unfolded, I will honestly say, I thought "again?". But, after reading it, my exasperation was very short lived. You are going to be introduced to a whole new generation of Corps Security. Some will appear way more than others, but it was a joy to read these characters who were first introduced as babies.

You know what's next. Oh multiple orgasm, Harper Sloan very seldom disappoints in the sex scene area. Once again, she wrote some fierce, throw you on your back, rip off your panties, sex. The sex was fantastic, if you didn't pick that up by my description, but the other thing she did well and I need to thank her for, she made Cohen a great dirty talker. I am an advocate for dirty talk in the bedroom (real or fiction) and she made it "bite your lip" worthy.

I will confess that I read this book in 1 day. It was that good. I am someone who gets car sick when I read in an automobile, but today, I read in the car until I started to feel it come on. When we stopped at the store and my hubby ran in, I read. So, yes, I think that this book is wonderful. It does appear that this will be a series, which makes me super excited. The minute I learnt Cohen was getting his own book as a adult I was so so excited ..... And in true Harper style this book rocked .... I loved every word .....

It was jam packed with drama, love, suspense and raw heated passion ..... We got to see the whole corps family all grown up .....

I couldn't of picked a better fate for Cohen than the one and only 'little princess' Dani Reid.....
