I wasn't sure if I'd like this one since the hero wasn't shown in a great light in the first book of the series, but he really won me over. I ended up liking Brock more than Hawk. Tess was so sweet and loving...exactly what Brock needed. ...more

This one didn't have the Zing that so many of Kristen Ashley's books normally do. That said I really did enjoy the story and Tess was so likable and I rarely fine the heroine likable. Brock on the other hand had to grow on me and by that I mean I HATED him in Mystery Man and was tempted not to read this one at all since it was his story. He did not make a favorable impression for the first third or so of this book either. However by the end of the book we had come to an understanding. I was will ...more

This is only the fourth Kristen Ashley book that I have read and it just solidifies my resolve to keep going! Tessa is extremely likable and independent. She's strong even though she's had some horrible things happen to her in her life. Brock knows what he wants and goes after it full tilt, plus he's an awesome dad! I'm always excited because I end up loving the supporting characters just as much as I love the main characters when I read a Kristen Ashley book! ...more
