I recognized this book was special immediately. Unless Robin Sloan fumbled the writing, I knew I would love it and award five stars. When an oeuvre is distinct from anything that has come before, you can't guess what it will entail. This quest didn't delve into the metaphysical realm I envisioned. Every page I read made me love this book more! It is a totally unexpected combination of ancient and modern culture, quests and Google corporate culture, plus puzzles and bibliophile culture. It really can't be described without spoilers, so you must read it and enjoy. The message of the book is wonderful. Love, love, love this book!
