3.5 Stars. The writing is very clear and is only from the point of view of the two main characters (although there isn't much of Gemma in this book). This is the style of writing I prefer. On the negative side the book resembles an English country house mystery and is on the short side.

I have read every single book Deborah Crombie has written and I am not starting a second reading. Her next is out in mid September, so Deb, stop reading this and start writing. This is one of my favorite authors. The worst line she ever wrote is better than 99% of lines in the books of today. I keep her in good company with Louise Penny, Henning Mankell, Hilary Mantel and Shakespeare.
