I haven’t read Pride and Prejudice for near on 15 years. I’m not sure how it happened. Time just drained away and before I knew it here I am.

I am joyful to say it is as brilliant and clever as I ever remember. Austen really is so excellent at irony and wit. I had the added experience of listening to it this time round and found that Rosamund Pike’s narration was perfectly performed.

i can't believe i hadn't read this until now! i loved it! it was so much funnier than i was anticipating and now i want to watch every movie version out there so that i don't have to be completely done with it! it has also inspired me to check out all those other classics that i have missed up until now! ...more

Although the beginning of the book was fairly difficult, as soon as I had once again familiarised myself with Jane Austen's style and got to know the characters it was much easier to read. I particularly enjoyed the witty dialogues that Elizabeth got into but I was a little bit disappointed with the ending. It came too suddenly after all the tension building and felt a bit rushed.
