Meh - this book didn’t know what it wanted to be - mystery or a romance novel and just didn’t seem “believable” and I didn’t feel invested with these characters. I would not have read this on my own but it was a library bookclub read for August so I pushed through it. So many better books out there in this genre, but we keep getting these 3 star Goodreads books to discuss. I would not waste your time. It is not more than a 3 star read and it should have picked a lane and stayed there.
