I finally succumbed to the siren call of A Court of Thorns and Roses, and while I enjoyed my foray into Prythian, I’m not quite ready to join the legions proclaiming it a masterpiece. Hear me out, the only reason I’m not rating this book higher is simply because fantasy is not my jam. The book however is very well written, the characters were wonderful, and I enjoyed their relationships. Was I perpetually asking all of my friends if there was going to be a very graphic love triangle? Absolutely. Am I devastated that it didn’t turn into that during this book? Extremely.
