A really good book on some of the "beasts" and "beings" that Harry Potter encountered in his many adventures, but not as magical as the title seems to be. It was more like an encyclopedia, with many details on the outer appearance of the creatures and not many descriptions about how wizards can catch, adopt, breed, raise, or even befriend them.
Well, 4 out of 5 stars because it is a quite neat addition to every Harry Potter collection and it certainly makes you more wise for the non-Muggle world, ...more

This is the best addendum to the Harry Potter series! J.K. Rowling is ridiculously talented and this is so incredibly creative. I loved learning about all of the magical creatures. The references to other "magical texts" were great additions. I am constantly amazed at how detailed this world has become. ...more

I must admit this book is pretty interesting, especially because i'm a Harry Potter fan but it's also a bit dull and too informative. I mean, they could have included more pictures and notes by Harry and Ron. I'm racing through it though.
The thing is that you'll only enjoy this book if you're obsessed with Harry Potter. If not you'll probably be wondering that the hell is going on.
