A long time coming to reread. Haven't read this since it first was published.
I enjoyed a lot more when younger.
Still enjoy the magic system, the school Hogwarts and the mysterious ways of Harry's past.
Rereading with my 13 year old daughter. After each book we'll watch the movies.

There's really nothing more I can say about Harry Potter that hasn't been said a thousand times. I just love to re-read this series, to get back into the wizarding world is so easy and pleasant, I could read these books for the rest of my life and never get bored.

His upbringing is not a pleasant one but does not affect Harry Potter negatively. When Harry is older he is whisked away to a school that will teach him wizardry and help him connect to his past. While at school Harry learns skills that help him fight an evil that is forever present. This book was full of adventure, mystery, and entertainment that pulls

This is my first time reading a Harry Potter book, though I watched the movies with my son as they came out. I get the love for the series (lovable characters and lots of adventures). Will I rush to read the rest? No probably one a year in the Fall sounds good.
The takeaway: all books teach you things even if you’re not realizing it.
“ It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends”.
