I can't believe I ate the whole thing.
Yah, I feel like I just swallowed a three course meal in 15 minutes. In other words, I just spent the last two hours, from about 1:30 to 3:30AM, reading We Were Liars on Kindle. Because BookTube and Goodreads Read-a-longs and why the hell not?
Of course this is an easy read. It's YA contemporary. I breezed through it. And I've got to say, I liked it more than I thought I would.

“We are liars. We are beautiful and privileged. We are cracked and broken.”
Cryptic and interesting. I was trying to crack the plot twist in this novel and I had a myriad of scenarios running through my head. The mystery was painted heavily and was written effectively. I'm still not sure how to classify this book, if it's a coming of age novel, a psychological mystery or one with supernatural elements.

This book is both irritating and mildly intriguing.
Though whoever was behind the marketing (kudos to you) did create a mysterious vibe about the book that made me want to read it (wouldn't you want to read a book that everyone is saying they can't tell you what it's about?) as well as continue to read to see what the big lie was. It's just the choppy sentences that really didn't add to the story (I did wonder if the choppiness was in there because of Cadence's issues) made me want to scream.

I really wanted to like this book. Unfortunately, the hype kind of killed it for me. Everyone was very careful to keep reviews spoiler-free, and keep everything about this book a Big Secret, and so I was cripplingly disappointed when, on page 62, I had already guessed the ending (and I was so sure of myself, I checked the last few pages. Surprise, I was right). I didn't even finish it, and it's a pretty short novel. After the big reveal, which came too early for me, I wasn't interested in pickin

BOOKSPLOSION BOOK OF THE MONTH. This book. I don't have any words. It came to my house when I got home from school today around 4:30 p.m. After homework I sat down and started to read. Next thing I know I am shot in the heart with a million feelings as I close the book and it's 10 p.m. One sitting. I can't begin to comprehend how amazing this was. The writing style is like somethingI have never read before and the story line itself is something that exploded my mind. Bravo E.Lockhart. You over a
