É, não foi para mim. Eu consigo enxergar o que é que faz esse livro ser tão comentado, mas ao mesmo tempo ele não conseguiu me conquistar para que eu sentasse na janela do trem da hype. Culpo principalmente a escrita do livro. Por mais que eu entenda a escolha estilística da autora para representar a mente fragmentada da narradora, esse foi o maior empecilho para que eu me conectasse à estória e a que grande revelação tivesse algum impacto quando viesse à tona. Ela é interessante e metafórica, m

This book was so so good! I was not expecting that twist at the end. It honestly made me bawl my eyes out. Seeing reviews of the book and people saying that it is better to go into the book not knowing anything is so right. I was so happy that I had no idea what was going to happen since it legit made me cry so hard. My eyes were so glossy with tears that it was hard to read. I can't believe how much I enjoyed this book since I was confused a fair amount throughout it. If you haven't read this b

Right, this won't be a normal review because I don't want to spoil the book for you. All you need to know is that you need to read it. It is nearly perfect. I absolutely adored the way it was written but I have read other reviews from people that have HATED it so I do think it will have very divided opinions. The sentences are very short but I appreciate this style of writing and it is fitting for a novel narrated by a teenager trying to make sense of her thoughts and memories. Lockhart is wonde

Goodness this book was suspenseful and I had no idea where the author was taking the story and I definitely didn't see it turning out the way it did. You want to go in not knowing anything about the book to get the full impact and that's all I'm going to say.

3.5 stars
This book is.....something else.
Strange but so beautifully crafted
I dove into this book and fell in love with the writing style, the setting and the perfectly flawed Sinclair family.
The actual story though took some time for me to grasp. The timeline of it all was at times confusing and soon the pages blurred by. Midway through the book I found myself getting a little bored.
But I must say the ending picked up and I fell back in love. This is a tragic but memorable book.

3.5 stars. I liked this book a lot, just didn't love it. At times I really liked the writing style, and at other times I didn't. The ending was definitely the best part of the book, as I didn't see it coming! Big twist!
