oh my god I loved this so much!! the characters were so fun to read about and I loved all the depth!

Ok do not hate me .

But this book was a 2.5 stars and I do knownot why . Maybe bcz I had High Hopes or maybe bcz it was just not my type . I loved the beginning. Kinda . It started to get better but then it just went completely offhill. I really wanted to love this book . But I couldn't and January and Gus could've been together from the very first but both of them just kept drifting apart and it got very annoying. The only people I seriously felt connected to was Shadi, Pete and Maggie . But the Ok do not hate me .

Like why would she feel like crying and throwing up when she saw Gus's wife like why ? It's just common knowledge she's not like Sonya as Gus didn't cheat on Naomi . It was Naomi who cheated on Gus .Plus Gus had told her multiple times that He and Naomi where on the verge of a divorce and they would be over in a couple of months and I really wanted to kick some sense to January's stupid brain . Well of course she is a dumb bunny . Gus didn't even say a word during that and I understood Gus. Like your soon to be ex wife is standing by a bookshelf at a public event and of course he would look at her . Like what was he supposed to do.Should he do the Gigi Hadid hair flip and kiss January? January was honestly one of the most annoying female characters I've ever read in my entire life. I had a love hate relationship with her . I understood why she's like that and I liked her .But mostly I found her annoying. I'm not criticizing this book . I know many people loved it but before going into this book do not have high expectations of a groundbreaking romance . There is romance but this is kind of a literary fiction book . I think that's the reason why I didn't love it . These are just my thoughts. I love to speak my heart out in these reviews and be entirely truthful .And January really have to stop calling herself a dumb bunny . That's it .
P.S - I'll definitely read more books by Emily Henry but this was not it . ...more

- i love gus so much omg
-the grief in this book was so realistic to me
- the notes😖😖
-the notes between the houses omgg
- the is book was so cute
- i love jan and gus
- when he was kissing away her tears AHHHHHHHH ILL TAKE 14 of them right now

this may be my favorite read of the year so far. i haven’t cried tears or laughed out loud with a book since i read my favorite book “take me with you”.

i delayed this read for a long time pretty much because of prejudice with these modern romance dramas that felt like the same thing over and over again, but beach read was different, and the cliches felt just right.
