I'd say it's a 4 star book up until the final chapters that made me go *WAAAAAH!!!* and forced me to tack on the final star.
I recommend this book fully. To everyone. Especially you, reading this review.
P.S. Wipe that little smudge off your face. No the other side. There you go. That was distracting.

The was confusing at the start, what with all the alternate curse words and not understanding where they really were or why. I didn't particularly care that much for Thomas, he was a bit annoying and pushing to do things his way so quickly. The fact that a lot of the time that worked out better was disappointing, though it did show how you sometimes need a new perspective to solve things. (view spoiler)

The maze runner was one of the most awesome books I've read so far. James D. is an incredibly good writer, and I could not let go this book. If you like atcion, fantasy, bromance, those awesome and really moving frindships and the most incredible moments, well, then read this book!
SERIOUSLY GOOD.

Holy crap what an Ending! I did Not see that coming!
What a strange and bizarre world. At first this had a bit of a Hunger Games vibe and I assumed the kids were sent to the maze as some sort of punishment. Without spoiling anything for those who haven't read it, I was surprised to discover the real reason they were there.
I liked Thomas although he was a little whiny, I'm sure in that situation I'd have been a blubbering mess so I can't really complain. Chuck was adorable, like the little brothe ...more

More like 3.5 stars. I liked it well enough and want to read more; it just wasn't spectacular. It starts with a kid (Thomas) riding an elevator who has all his memories erased. He ends up in a community of other teens who have had the same thing done to them. Intriguing premise. Thomas's appearance is the beginning of the end for this group, as their society gradually falls apart through uncontrollable circumstances. The beginning is full of "What's going on?" -- "Can't tell you now" conversatio
