Abandoned about halfway through.
This one wasn't for me - too lengthy, too uncaptivating. The author lost herself in her fabulous magical "stageprops" so much that the whole thing felt like very lengthy world-building to me instead of an actual storyline developing. None of the characters managed to make me care, and the male main character was even rather annoying.
The German narrator also managed to add an additional layer of monotony by his way of reading it.

Let me begin by saying Erin Morgenstern is a wordsmith. She can weave a sentence like nobody's business. There were a few passages I had to read over again simply because they were so beautiful I wanted to experience them twice.
