It was really slow to get into it and it rally didn't do it for me. The storyline just kept confusing me and the map/places just made zero sense to me. The characters were alright, although some of them just annoyed me more then anything. Carden was alright, but I'd probably have to read the other books to like him more.

This was an interesting experience. I don't think I've ever wanted a book to be over so bad while also being interested in what's happening. Did I enjoy reading this book? No. Will I buy and read the next one because I am curious where the story is going? Yes. I don't enjoy this author's style of writing, but the actual plot is quite intriguing.
