First real fantasy I have read, and oh my god I couldn’t put it down. No, it isn’t the romance that booktok made it out to be, but the twists and turns, and the subtle connection between characters was enough.

IIIIIII don't really feel any kind of way for this book.

I know people seem to love it or hate it. I feel...nothing.

The first 2/3s of this book were hot air.

I don't care what everyone wore or smelled like. Even though we're constantly being told. World building should go beyond what everyone's breeches look like.

I didn't care about the characters, either.

I didn't care that the girls' mother and father were murdered. I didn't care about Vivi or her girlfriend. I didn't care about Taryn and her ...more

THE CRUEL PRINCE 👑 By Holly Black is a blockbuster of a novel. It's an absolute perfection💛 from first page to the last.
The world building, the strong characters, beautiful mesmerizing magic, with amazing twists.
This was so fierce, intriguing and enthralling.
JUDE and CARDAN really did put a spell on us Woooooooow they are perfect 😘.
Best FANSTASY and impossible to put down.

Honestly I was wondering if I should give it one star or zero. The only things I liked was prologue and two or three ending chapters. I know everyone is loving this and saying how amazing it is but.. for me this was the biggest dissapoiment. I bought this book thinking it seems really good by the plot but this is probably one of the worst books I've ever read. I couldn't finish it, I had so many breaks it even gave me reluctance to read any books. ...more

I really liked the book, it had me in quite the emotional rollercoaster. Most of the time I didn't quite know what to think. I liked the plot, and the little banters Jude and Carden had. There were a few parts I didn't expect, and as I read, I started to like Carden more and more.
