Quite possibly my new favorite book. Incredible characters on an unforgettable journey through the late nineteenth century United States. I found myself hoping there would be at least a few hundred pages more once I finished it. Absolutely amazing read.

Absolutely loved this book! I picked it up because I saw it on so many must read lists last year. I didn't think I would be into it but once I started reading I could not stop. I fell in love with the country and the people. Gus has to be one of my favorite characters ever. It is a romance novel, an adventure novel, and a great work. It affected how I felt for days after I finished reading it. Lonesome Dove is on my top 5 list of best books I have ever read.

I love Lonesome Dove, i can say without a doubt it’s my favorite book of all time. Specifically it’s the best western of all time. It will make you think about your own life, and you as a man. You will relate to that brotherhood man have and other aspects of life. The characters are perfectly un perfect just like everyone in real life. you will love it.
This book is a masterpiece. One of the greatest fiction novels ever. McMurtry is a masterful writer and the best with character I’ve ever read. So good, this book is #1 on my all time list. Period.
