this is the second book i read so far in this year and i'm not dissapointed
ofc the last 100 pages was a rollercoaster, SJM wouldn't be herself without making the plot like this

This book was an emotional rollercoaster!!
Celaena was absolutely broken the first half. She’s fighting the painful memories of her parent’s death, Nehemiah’s death and the betrayal she felt from Chaol’s decisions. Now that she’s in Wendlyn, she faces even more struggles.
She is tasks to master her powers with her trainer Rowan, who is extremely hard on her (borderline cruel). The rapid decline of Celaena’s mental health made me cry because she was carrying so much pain and grief and felt so alo ...more

Ok, the healing that happens in this book is unmatched! Our girl Aelin is getting stronger by the day and finding her way back to being the bad ass mofo that she is. It was so nice to see her break down and process all of the grief she's experienced in her life. God, so much grief that it helps you to understand her even more.
