Riley Sager is definitely one of my favorite authors and one of the only ones that read their new release ASAP. He's also one of very few that I've read all of his books. This is yet another hit for him. The story captivated me immediately and I loved how the he used Lizzie Borden for inspiration. Every single time I was convinced I figured out the who, what, and why. Where to begin? This book has been highly anticipated and discussed among my Good Reads friends and Book-Tubers all around. It’s a Riley Sager novel, so expect more twists and turns than a typical Lucey Foley.

I shouldn't have waited as long as I did to stop this one. Listened on Audible. The narrator had a good performance, but I couldn't get past the utter ridiculousness that was this story. The main character was annoying and nosy, jumping to all sorts of conclusions for no reason and then just as easily changing her mind. Everything about this felt forced and not believable. I found myself laughing at moments that were supposed to be suspenseful. After looking at the spoilers, I think I ...more
