Why did this book have such a strong impact on me? I’m ready to quit my job and move to a ranch in Wyoming or to the coast of Maine. I loved Emily Henry’s take on a second chance love story. The relationships can be so much more complex when there’s a history that gets slowly revealed to the readers. In fairness to my previous reviews I should knock a star off for a miscommunication trope, but I’m letting it slide here. I fell for it with the characters.

An easy, quick listen that was enjoyable to follow but not upsetting when getting distracted away from it. It kept my attention and had a few unexpected twists- but I also found myself getting frustrated by the main characters blindness towards obvious solutions. It seemed like there were a lot of missing holes or unanswered questions that were just grazed over, but it was still a great book- perfect for travel or a quick weekend read.

This is the second Emily Henry book I’ve ever read. People We Meet on Vacation was my first book by her and is the reason why after a huge reading slump, I chose a book by her to read again. Emily Henry has an amazing way with words that has you so captivated you’re eagerly flipping the page to continue on this amazing journey that her books place you in. I loved the characters, their dynamic, their immense love for one another was truly beautiful. After having so much time spent not reading, th

If I’m going to be completely honest, my first Emily Henry book was “People We Meet On Vacation” and that book was just not meant for me because I found it to be a very slow read. All that to say I was very nervous to read “Happy Place” by Emily Henry but she blew me away and I will definitely be reading the rest of her books. Happy Place has a special place in my heart, because the way she was able to write about friendships, romantic relationships, and family relationships was beautiful and in

This is so unbelievably cute, I can't stand it. It was a great, face paced *listen* for me. Perfect to listen to while getting my chores done around the house and workout to. It had such a great emotional anchor to it, I was tearing up at times. Freaking HANK, what a MAN 😭 I usually am a fantasy reader with a lot more plot development, but I wanted to cleanse my palette in between dense fantasy reads, and Emily Henry is where it's at. I can't wait for the movie adaptation of this. The only Harri
