As one of the top books of last year on multiple lists and the best book here on Goodreads, I expected a book that would be challenging and one that makes you think. At its core the story follows the very unlikeable character Juniper Song and how she steals the manuscript of her friend Athena Liu after a horrible accident kills her, and then goes ahead and publishes it as her own. My first foray into audiobooks. I liked the narrator of this book and felt she really captured the main character. A different experience to reading, or even listening to a podcast which is a comparative medium, but still also quite different! The book itself is well crafted and thought provoking. But it does drag a bit in places.

What a great book! Really made me think and it was so fun to discuss with my book club. I loved the insight into the publishing industry and the love to hate protagonist. It kept me guessing and reflecting. I've really never read anything like it.
