Six of Crows was completely different than how I initially imagined. Think steampunk/crime drama with elements of magic and fantasy woven throughout. I can tell just from this enstallment how vast and intricate the Grishaverse is and how much potential the world building brings for other stories (I have yet to read S&B or watch the series).

I completely loved this book. I loved the flawed, complex characters and the misfit bunch they made. Kaz is the ultimate anti-hero who you probably shouldn't but can't help rooting for. The plot and pacing of the story with the twists and turns was superb. One of my favourite books this year and can't wait for the next in the series.
Only book one of the "new" Grisha trilogy - but an even stronger start than the other (of which book 1 was far and away the best). ...more
