What a lovely book! I was so pleased with realistic, no ott the characters, a satisfying read overall, the many spiritual elements throughout which is what I look for anyway but especially if a book is labeled as such. The resolution and forgiveness themes made such a difference as it is in real life...what an incredible difference it makes to restoring a relationship as well as one's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health besides! I really enjoyed this story! It was such a nice relaxing and easy read yet it still has some great hard-hitting truths in it too. I just loved Casey, she's so relatable in so many ways! If you want a feel-good small town story with a touch of mystery and romance then give this book a go. This is the first of Stephania H. McGee's books I've read and I can't wait to read her other books! ...more

I wasn’t sure I would enjoy this story of exploring memories to uncover family secrets.

However, I loved the characters. Casey is plagued with insecurities and self-doubts due to a troubled past. Before her death, Casey’s grandmother left clues to take Casey on a journey to discover her inner strength and to encourage her trust in the Lord.

I think this is my favorite book by this author so far! The MC had such depth and seemed so real. The plot was interesting. It had great themes centered around finding your family.
