I actually really enjoyed this! It definitely helped break my slump since I read it in one sitting.
I actually really liked the characters. There was a bit of misscommunication and (kinda) a 3rd act break up, but that's always in these books. I think it worked though.
I will say I did not appreciate the moaning over food. I'm sorry, but that us a pet peive of mine and it irked me every time.
Kinda disappointed me that there was not P&P wedding. I was expecting some angst, not as much therepy.

4.5 FINALLY a book that took me out of my slump!
3.75 stars! review to come
although some of the conflict was unnecessary, i absolutely LOVED this book. the characters and their banter made me audibly laugh out loud and i loved how daphne was able to change into a stronger person by the end of the book. i absolutely adore miles and the speech he gave daphne towards the end🩷. this book gives major new girl vibes too! emily henry continues to be an instant buy author for me and i doubt that will ever change.
Emily Henry has done it once again with Funny Story!!! Oh my gosh when I tell you that this book has landed in my top 5 for this year I’m being completely honest. While reading, I caught myself laughing, sobbing, giggling and kicking my feet, etc etc. also the characters were so so relatable which I LOVE!!! This book showed the relationships that Daphne and Miles had with other people outside of their relationship which I also love because then it adds more to the plot. Thats something I love ab

there is a high chance i am looking at this book through a mildly rose tinted glass because emily henry wrote my favourite romance of all time (book lovers) but the tint only added a 0.5 so it is alright. I absolutely adored the two characters. the jouney and development daphne goes through during the span of this book was so well written

This was so perfect and delightful. The flirting and the tension and the banter was Emily Henry at her finest. I love how they sorta fake dated but still got to know each other not just in that dating setting. I’m sad this book is over but I’m so happy I lived this story.
