We start at a library and wind up with Nora Seed working for 12 years at a bookshop, String Theory. At 30 she's still there, with a Degree in Philosophy

It's interesting, well written with a complexity that gives the book tremendous depth. But the concept and subject matter didn't work for me. Others though have loved it. ...more

This was one of the best books I’ve had the pleasure of listening too. Wow.

Update: I needed another listen and it's still such a great book

I thought I was going to LOVE this book. The concept was so intriguing the reviews were great; however, I was not that impressed. The first half of the book was really good and then the last part of the book just fell apart for me. I felt like the author got tired of writing the story and just zipped right through to get it over with. I wish my feelings were different, but expectations were not met!

Unpopular opinion alert!

The Midnight Library bored my socks off. I typically listen to an audiobook every two or three days. This one took a full week… and it wasn’t even very long! Even saying that, this is not a bad book! I just expected more after reading tons of rave reviews…

"The only way to learn is to live."

Midnight Library was a mix of Its a Wonderful Life and Butterfly Effect.

The Library exists between life and death and allows Nora to revisit past choices.

Midnight Library encourages the reader to think about our relationship to our regrets.

It also encourages making hard choices and living. I found this book extremely quotable. It was a feel good read and a nice break from the spooky books I have been reading in October.

I particularly enjoyed: “Want,’ she t

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Not quite sure how to put into words but the author wrote a relatable, inspired piece. Great story of self discovery told through a fantasty lens of learning what the phrase the grass is greener on the other side really means. Hitting home with the fundamentals that make life worth living and risking on a day-to-day basis.

I really enjoyed this story. I have always been fascinated by the theory of parallel universes. That being said, the narrator of the audiobook was a bit too monotone and made the story a little hard to get through.
