What Members Thought

Verdict: A unique retelling of Cinderella with diverse characters. Over the years, the legend led to a patriarchal society that places little value on women.
Cinderella has been dead for two hundred years.
- first line
The book was good, though it could have been better. As other reviewers have said, the characters are shallow, and the world-building is lacking. But the premise of queer black girls working to overthrow the patriarchy is very appealing and worth giving the book a shot.
