This book was by no means up there in my favourite ALL-TIME books that I would point out and say yes, flawless, BUT it was a beautiful read, and something I really got stuck into.
The writing was very easy to follow, and it flowed seamlessly in and out between the different environments and scenarios which unfolded. Opinion based on audio book and contains spoilers
- Guess it was not my cup of tea. The story was a basic pretend to date for silly reasons and see what kind of a mess we make. I chose the audio book because I thought it would immerse me into the story and characters more but it back fired. Because of the narrator I viewed the mc as whiny and clueless. I don't understand how anyone in the love triangle had any feelings for each other as most scenes were filled with disagreement or childish respo ...more

I did not expect to like this book since I expected it to be as shallow and unengagable as Han's Summer book. Although the main character might be in a shallow situation, I still felt her. Her problems might not be too serious from the outside, but you feel what you feel. Pain, betrayed, that subtle feeling you get when someone is being distant. There's some "wish fulfillment" that happens here, typically.
