I read this because it was picked as the Toronto Reads Book for 2013. Amazing that this was written in 1953, long before television and videos were so prevalent and that parts of this book ring true today.

I really wanted to love this book since it is a classic...but overall I felt it was slow at certain parts, confusing and unfinished. By the time I got to the end I felt like there was no wrap up. I was disappointed that I didn't love the story. Not terrible, but not my favorite.

This was a book I had to read for school. The teacher said it was a book she loved, but I found it quite boring and very confusing.
