I was told by so many people that I would love this book, and they were completely correct. I devoured this book and enjoyed every single second of it. While it took me a good five page stop get into the book, once there I was fully watching the book as a full-length, 5 hour movie in my head. It was one of those stories where I had to stop myself from pushing ahead to know what happens.

I've been meaning to read this series FOREVER. I saw the show on Netflix and heard great things about it. I decided to watch first, read after. I almost never do this. As we all know, the book is (almost) always better. Anyway, I adored the series and couldn't wait to read the books.

I don’t even know what to think.

My 4 is probably more of a 3.5. I liked it. I didn’t hate it. But I was frustrated with it.

I wish google allowed me to know everything going on in the grishaverse because I felt like it took me forever to get my bearings in this world. I loved the Russian elements but felt like there could have been more detail on the world we were in.

Shadow and Bone is a young adult fantasy that is well-written and thoughtfully planned. It is a solid first book that hits all the right marks that make the readers thirst for more action, drama, and romance.
