Wow. What can I say about this amazingly captivating book? It should be a required reading in schools. It touches on basic human needs and how we can survive with just yhe bare necessities if we only have hope in our hearts. The characters in this story have lost so much and yet they fight to survive against all odds and most come out ahead. My heart went out to all these characters and I wanted to cry when things went bad. I wanted so badly to invite them into my warm home and cook for them. It ...more
