I was very nervous when picking up this book to read because I have heard mixed feelings regarding it. As I was reading, I was torn between giving this book 3 or 4 stars, and finally decided on 3 stars.

I was expecting this book to be emotional because it was about a girl with a life-threatening illness, and it really wasn't for me. Near the end, I felt like it was more emotional, but not much. The book didn't really explain much about SCID, and I was kind of disappointed about that.

I found it quite hard to get into the book at first (was reading it via audible) but then when I started to read the physical book I got through it so quickly. If you want to read it I highly recommend the physical book (there is pictures and emails and diagrams and is so much more enjoyable than the narrator on audible, let me tell you).
