Shelves: fiction, thriller

This was a pretty slow-paced novel. It wasn’t unpleasant, but there wasn’t suspense. I certainly wouldn’t call this a psychological thriller, though that's what it's classified as. The writing was simply okay. The characters were one-dimensional. Overall, the novel was unremarkable- not good, but not awful. The saving grace of this book was the twist, which I hadn't suspected.

I can honestly say that even though it was a rocky start, towards the end of the book I was completely hooked. I listened to this book in my car and during the last few chapters and the epilogue I was screaming and waving my hands in the air from astonishment and disbelief. Wow!

Talk about edge of your seat. This was such a great book. I kept seeing so many talk about it and now I know why. Brilliant writing and Mia and Eve were two exceptional characters. I could not put it down.
