Story with several twists and turns. The author surprised me right up to the last few pages. Good mystery.

An interesting take on a kidnapping story, told in parts from three perspectives in different times (before and after the girl is found); the kidnapper, the detective, and the mother (all done well by three different narrators for the audible recording).
There is a fourth perspective that doesn't occur until the epilogue but you can't really know who as it could spoil things for you. Interesting discoveries in this, some good twists as well. ...more

Great! Didn't expect to Loved it! I love when authors tell a story in the first person from each major character. Great characters......great storyline.....and a great surprise at the end!
I enjoyed the way the book was written from the point of views to before and after the kidnapping. I look forward to reading another book by Mary Kubica. Of all the “Girl” novels I’ve read, this novel by Kubica is the thriller that checked off all the boxes to create the perfect psychological read with the perfect twist at the end. 🔥
