A delightful read. I started this to prepare myself for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts movie. This is more a booklet with information regarding each possible "beast" imaginable in the Wizarding World. I shall keep this book with me throughout the movie and will use it as a reference when a magical creature is introduced. ...more

I hadn't read this in so long I'd pretty much forgotten everything about it. My husband recently bought me the Hogwarts Library books in hardcover to replace my utterly destroyed paperbacks, and with the new movie out, I decided it was time to re-read this one.

I really enjoyed it, probably because I always found the beasties from the Harry Potter universe so interesting. I wish there were illustrations for everything. That would be amazing. I thought the "annotations" were amusing, but I was a ...more
