I seriously cannot believe that this book is classified as children's literature because this book is creepy. It's not the typical "jump scare" sort of book, but there are certain passages in this book that are just unsettling to read.

This is my second Neil Gaiman book, and once again, I am intrigued by his creativity with his plots. The story had me captivated from page one until the ending. I just had to figure out what was happening next!

It's not typically the type of story I'd ever choose to read, but having enjoyed the movie... I thought it only fair to give the book a go.
It certainly did not disappoint. Suitably creepy and I think the cellar scene will be stuck with me for a while.
The cat has to be my favourite character of the lot, purely for its sass and sarcasm.

I like Coraline. She is such an adventurous girl who is not afraid of challenges and such a strong girl. The beginning of the book was a tiny bit uninteresting but the rest was marvelous. I'm glad that she identifies herself as an explorer and I think she and Alice from Alice in Wonderland would make great friends. ...more
